PROJECT NARRATION

This project is developed by Lyvin Properties from Russia, located in Bali. Designed as a luxury villa complex with breathtaking views of the southern Bali sea, the estate highlights an exclusive blend of architecture and landscape.

The garden embraces a simplicity and contemporary tropical concept, inspired by the collaboration between the lead architect and the landscape architect after a thorough study of the site. With its dramatic limestone terrain, steep contours, and the vision to preserve as many native trees as possible, the design seamlessly integrates with nature.

Given the limestone soil and limited water resources, the landscape carefully incorporates drought-tolerant plant species. The rooftop gardens posed a unique challenge-requiring a lightweight approach that would not burden the structure. This led to the innovative solution of planting coastal vegetation in soil-free, lightweight media, ensuring both sustainability and aesthetic excellence.
